Key Stage 1 PPA Cover Teacher (0.6)

Job Description

Zest Education, in partnership with a reputable school in Smethwick, is currently seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 PPA Cover Teacher to join their team on a 3-day per week basis starting in December  2024. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to make a positive impact on young learners’ education.

As a Key Stage 1 PPA Cover Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality teaching and support to students in their absence of their regular class teacher. Your expertise will ensure continuity in their learning journey and help them achieve their academic goals.

The school, located in Smethwick, boasts extensive indoor and outdoor facilities designed to foster a creative and dynamic learning environment. With a focus on offering a well-rounded education, students have ample opportunities to develop their academic abilities while exploring their creativity and skills.

Responsibilities of the role include:

– Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to Key Stage 1 students during their regular teacher’s absence

– Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters students’ academic and personal growth

– Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to ensure effective communication and coordination of lessons

– Assess and monitor students’ progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support as necessary

– Implement school policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and supportive learning atmosphere

To be successful within this position you must:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

– Experience teaching Key Stage 1 students, including planning and delivering lessons

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians effectively

– A passion for education and a commitment to supporting students’ individual needs

– Strong organizational and time management abilities

– Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced school environment
