KS1/2 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate classroom support assistant to join a well-established school in Newcastle- Under-Lyme  starting in as soon as possible. There are both full-time and part-time positions available. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled individual looking to make a positive impact on the lives of children aged 4-11 with complex learning difficulties.

Responsibilities:
– Provide support and assistance to students with special education needs, focusing on their individual requirements and learning goals.
– Collaborate with the teaching staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
– Assist in the creation and modification of classroom materials to meet the diverse needs of the students.
– Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
– Work closely with other teaching assistants and staff members to maintain an effective and cohesive team approach.

Requirements:
– Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is essential.
– The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of different learning styles and strategies.
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
– A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach towards supporting children’s emotional and educational development.
– Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
– A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to the school’s vibrant and inclusive community.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
