Job Description

Zest Education is currently seeking an inspiring and passionate Class Teacher for Key Stage 1 at a primary school in Lichfield. This 2-form entry school is known for its friendly and supportive environment, offering valuable experience for professional development. This is a part time role, to start immediately working 3 days a week with the potential to go permanent for the right person!

This child-centred school, prioritizes the individual needs and strengths of each student to create a learning environment that fosters inclusion and academic success for all. Lessons are differentiated to cater to the diverse learning styles and abilities of its students. You will have the opportunity to carefully design lessons that incorporate various teaching methods, resources, and activities to accommodate different learning paces and preferences. This may include visual, auditory, or kinaesthetic learning, in order to meet needs through personalized instruction.

Responsibilities:
– Teach a Key Stage 1 class in line with the school’s child-centred approach
– Implement effective and inclusive policies and behaviour management strategies
– Collaborate with colleagues to create engaging lessons and activities
– Support the overall well-being and development of students in the classroom
– Participate in school events and activities as required

Requirements:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
– Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 is desirable but not essential
– Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
