Job Description

Do you have experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant in Key Stage 1? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a team of dedicated staff at a small, one form primary school in Oldbury. This is a full-time position, starting November 2024 on a ongoing basis .

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.

Your main responsibilities will include:
– Assisting with planning and preparation of classroom activities
– Supporting students in their academic and personal development
– Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
– Conducting small group activities and interventions
– Assessing and tracking student progress
– Providing feedback to parents and carers
– Collaborating with the wider school team to ensure the best outcomes for students

To be successful in this role, you should have a relevant qualification and experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant in Key Stage 1. You should be familiar with the National Curriculum and have a good understanding of child development. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with students, teachers, and parents.
