Job Description

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 national curriculum.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and development.
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND.
  • Monitor progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate pupil records.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to support each child’s growth.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through teamwork, collaboration, and involvement in school initiatives.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour in line with school policies.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching within KS1 (Year 1 or Year 2 preferred).
  • Strong understanding of the KS1 national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A proactive, creative, and reflective approach to teaching and learning.
  • Enhanced DBS con the update service.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
