This position offers a chance to work with Year 1 and Year 2 students in a supportive and dynamic learning environment.

As a Key Stage 1 teaching assistant, you will have the opportunity to engage in small group work, particularly in reading, to support the students’ literacy development. Your phonics experience will be highly valued in helping the children improve their reading and writing skills. This position will commence in January and continue for the remainder of the academic year, with potential for extension.

The school is a two-form primary school, offering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment. You will be joining a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to providing the best education for their students. In addition, the school offers continuous professional development (CPD) opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field of education.

To be successful in this role, you should have a genuine passion for working with children and a strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum. Previous experience in a similar role or relevant qualifications would be beneficial. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with both students and teachers.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
