KS1 Teaching assistant, Birmingham.

Zest Education is closely working with a two-form entry school in the area of Nechells. The school requires a KS1 Teaching assistant to start in September 2022 on a full-time basis. The contract will run for the entire academic year.

This school is a ‘Good’ Ofsted rated school and is a very welcoming school to all. The school caters for a high number of pupils with EAL and varying academic abilities, so it is incredibly important to get the correct support structure in place. The school has a fantastic community programme which it takes great pride in running, this is in order to bring the community together make sure everybody is working towards a common goal. The school needs somebody who can help right across KS1 in working with small groups, one to one and general classroom assistance.

The successful candidate will need to be somebody who is confident enough to switch year groups and so will need to know the curriculum and at what point the differing classes are up to in their learning. This role is also hands on so the successful candidate will need to be somebody who can get involved and make themselves known to the pupils who may need their assistance.

Both recently qualified Teaching assistants will be considered alongside the more experienced Teaching assistants. Applicants with experience are in an advantageous position. The successful candidate will be notified and given support during transition into their new role.
