KS2 Intervention Teacher, Birmingham.

Zest Education is proud to work with a large primary school in north Birmingham. The school require an intervention teacher who can work full time across key stage 2. The position is due to start in September 2022 and would be for the entire academic year with a look to make the position permanent if circumstances were fitting. This is an ideal role for somebody transitioning from the NTP back into the classroom.

New financial funding has now been granted and the school are investing in a role where the successful candidate will be doing interventions with small groups of children. An area of the school which senior leadership are keen to improve is the intervention work across the year groups. The school are ‘Good’ Ofsted rated and are highly ambitious and driven to achieve ‘Outstanding’ in their next inspection.

The successful candidate must have good depth of knowledge of the curriculum as they will be working closely with the selected children. They must be a confident classroom practitioner who can convey their understanding of the set work to the pupils. Academic abilities at this school can vary so it is important that the candidate must be able to think outside the box when it comes to learning activities and teaching styles.

Newley qualified teaching assistants and experienced teaching assistants will be considered for this role. The successful candidate will have support from relevant parties to ensure a smooth transition into the new role.
