Job Title: KS1 Teaching Assistant (Part-Time)
Location: Burntwood
Start Date: ASAP 
Working Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, 3 days per week (Monday to Friday – specific days negotiable)
Contract Type: Part-Time, Temporary

Are you a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young learners in their crucial early years?

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Burntwood is seeking a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children aged 5 to 7 and is confident supporting learning in the classroom, working closely with the class teacher.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons.

  • Work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning and encourage progress.

  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.

  • Assist with phonics, early literacy, and numeracy activities.

  • Provide emotional and social support to pupils as needed.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with children in a KS1 setting (school, nursery or similar).

  • Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or above preferred).

  • Be patient, reliable, and confident in supporting young learners.

  • Be a strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a team.

  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service.
