KS2 Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated KS2 teacher to join a special educational school in Lichfield starting January 2025. This long-term position will extend for the rest of the academic year, providing you with an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students aged 11-18 with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH).

As a KS2 teacher at this school, your role will be pivotal in shaping the educational journey of students who often come with challenging perspectives on learning and life. Working alongside a committed team, you will play a crucial part in fostering successful outcomes for these pupils by implementing tailored learning styles, appropriate teaching strategies, effective behaviour management techniques, and supportive classroom resources specifically designed for students with Autism and SEMH.

To excel in this role, you must hold a Qualified Teacher Status and ideally have prior experience working with KS2 students. Your passion for education, empathy towards students with diverse needs, and willingness to collaborate with colleagues will be key traits sought after for this position.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
