Zest Education is collaborating with a large school based in the Wednesbury area to recruit a passionate Year 2 Teaching Assistant on a part-time basis. This position can begin immediately, you will be required to work 8:30- 3:30, Monday through to Wednesday.

This school is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and focuses on ensuring the children are happy and safe, they provide a balanced curriculum to create a wide range of opportunity for the children. Their goal is to produce self-assured learners who are prepared to take on challenges in the future. As a Year 2 Teaching Assistant, you must be able to support the children in an inspiring way and aid the Teacher in delivering an engaging curriculum.



-Support the classroom Teacher and prepare resources for learning activities and assist pupils

-Uphold policies and procedures relating to Safeguarding, child protection, data protection and behaviour management and pupil conduct

-Develop positive relationships with students, teachers and parents to provide feedback on the development of the students

-Motivate students to participate in activities and engage with the class as well as promoting their independence



-The ability to demonstrate active listening skills and strong communication skills

-A good understanding of the national curriculum and child development

-A genuine passion for having a positive impact on children’s education as well as continuing your personal and professional development

-Relevant experience in an educational setting around children.

-An enhanced DBS or the desire to obtain one.

-The ability to work effectively both independently and within a coordinated team.
