L3 Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Zest Education is recruiting for a committed and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Coventry. This part‑time role is spread across three days per week, running from 8:30am to 3:30pm, and is perfect for someone who thrives in a supportive school environment and enjoys helping children reach their full potential. You’ll be joining a team that values positivity, teamwork, and a genuine passion for education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high‑quality classroom support across different year groups.
  • Work 1:1 or with small groups to deliver targeted interventions.
  • Assist the class teacher with daily routines, preparation, and activities.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and independence.
  • Support pupils with SEND where required.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
  • Must have school‑based experience.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • A proactive, patient, and supportive approach.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
