An inclusive and supportive SEND school in Hednesford is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team from January 2026 through to the end of the academic year.
You’ll be supporting students aged 6 to 18 years with a range of needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), communication difficulties, and complex learning needs – working both in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
Support children and young people with Autism, SEMH, and complex SEND needs
Work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored learning and behavioural support
Provide 1:1 support and assist in group-based activities
Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Support personal care needs, where required
Monitor and report on pupil progress and development
Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, particularly Autism and complex needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Calm, resilient and adaptable in a dynamic environment
A genuine passion for working with vulnerable learners
Relevant qualifications or training in SEND (desirable but not essential)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one
A nurturing and specialist SEND provision in Hednesford
Supports pupils from KS1 through to Post-16
Focused on emotional, social and academic development
A well-resourced school with a highly experienced and welcoming team

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
