We’re recruiting for an enthusiastic, bright, and hard-working Learning Support Assistant to work on a long-term basis at a special educational needs school in Walsall. This position is due to begin ASAP until the end of the academic year.
This school caters for students from the age of 5-18 with severe and complex learning difficulties. The successful candidate must have experience supporting individuals with special educational needs (SEND).
The school is situated in a popular area with lots of outdoor space, enabling exciting outdoor learning opportunities which they try to include as much as possible within their stimulating curriculum.
You will not find yourself getting bored in this role! Each day brings new challenges, opportunities for development and to demonstrate your supportive skills as a Learning Support Assistant. Your role may involve providing 1-1 support to specific children and providing whole-class support in lessons.
The role:
- Must be able to engage and motivate pupils
- Improve the quality of pupils’ learning
- Inspire trust and confidence in pupils and colleagues
- Build team commitment with colleagues and in the classroom
- Demonstrate empathy with and an appreciation of the needs of pupils
