Zest Education are recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a ‘Good’ rated special educational needs (SEND) school in Blythe Bridge, Stoke-on-Trent from November 2023. This position will be full-time and will continue for the full academic year.

This SEND school caters for students from the age of 2-19 with social emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH), Autism (ASC) and associated learning needs.

You will be responsible for their emotional and physical needs supporting them to develop as individuals and engage with the world. Every day will be different, but you will have all the support you need, with lots of skills and experience to draw on along with valuable advice and guidance too.

The role:

  • Have a positive attitude towards young children and adults
  • Have a good sense of humour and excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must have experience supporting children or adults
  • You will support the teachers working alongside other support staff and therapists, to deliver the curriculum and help nurture a therapeutic environment to meet a range of needs
