We’re recruiting for an enthusiastic, bright, and hard-working individual to work on a long-term basis at a special educational needs school in Rugeley. The school are looking for a part-time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to start ASAP. You must be able to work the hours 8:30-15:30.
This school caters for students from the age of five to sixteen with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). The students here have either been permanently excluded from their mainstream schools or come on short term, preventative placements. The ideal candidate must be confident with their behaviour management and working with children of both primary and secondary ages.
You will be required to support the teaching and learning working on a 1:1 basis and with smaller intervention groups. You must have excellent communication skills, be eager to learn, have a positive attitude and work well as part of a team. You will be committed to the safeguarding and well-being of all pupils and provide exceptional learning and support.
The role:
- You will be supporting the students learning inside and outside the classroom and promoting positive behaviour
- You must be a motivated individual with a desire to improve students opportunities
- You will need to be passionate to build trusting relationships with the children to help them manage the learning challenges they may face
