Learning Support Assistant

Job Description

We’re recruiting for a passionate learning support assistant role at a busy special educational needs school in Stoke-on-Trent.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting individual students with special educational needs. This full-time role, starting in September 2024, offers a unique opportunity to work with children aged 3-14 in a rewarding and nurturing environment.

 

 Key Responsibilities:

– Provide 1:1 support and assistance to students with special educational needs

– Work collaboratively with teachers and specialists to create a tailored learning experience for each child

– Foster trusting relationships with students to help them overcome learning challenges

– Support small group activities and interventions to promote student development

 

Requirements:

– Previous experience working with individuals with special educational needs

– Flexibility to work across different classes based on student needs

– A genuine passion for supporting children in their educational journey

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
