Zest Education is thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity to join a sought-after school in Marston Green as a full-time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for a group of pupils in KS1 who have global delay.

As a dedicated LSA, you will play a pivotal role in helping the pupil thrive academically and personally. Starting in September 2024 and continuing for a minimum of 2 terms

Key Responsibilities:

– Provide one-on-one support to the pupil with global delay, ensuring they receive the tailored assistance they need to succeed.

– Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the child’s engagement and participation in the classroom.

– Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to implement individualized learning plans and monitor progress.

– Help develop essential life skills such as communication, social interaction, and independent thinking.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

– Experience working with children with global delay or similar learning difficulties.

– Strong communication skills to establish rapport and build a supportive relationship with the pupil.

– Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet the child’s unique needs.

– Knowledge of KS2 curriculum and teaching strategies to provide effective assistance.

– Relevant qualifications or certifications in education, special needs support, or a related field would be advantageous.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
