We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant school community in Nuneaton. This full-time role is set to commence in September 2024 and will continue on a long-term basis throughout the academic year.
As a Learning Support Assistant at this special educational needs school, you will have the unique opportunity to work with students aged 9-19, supporting them in a safe, healthy, and enjoyable learning environment. The school’s vision is to ensure that students with autism and/or social, emotional, and mental health needs receive the highest quality education, fostering excellence in teaching and learning.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and committed individual who can maintain the school’s high standards by providing abundant opportunities for all students to achieve. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
– Ability to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential
– Demonstrated track record of maintaining high standards in supporting pupils with challenging/complex behaviour within a Special Educational Needs school or similar setting
– Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to effectively work with students, staff, and parents
– Interest in and understanding of the factors influencing behaviour in children and young people
– Flexibility, teamwork, and a good sense of humour to create a positive and supportive learning environment
– Positive attitude towards hard work and willingness to navigate challenging situations with resilience

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
