Learning Support Assistant

Job Description

Zest is looking for a driven and compassionate individual to join as a Learning Support Assistant in a Special Educational Needs school in the north of Leicester. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in fostering an enthusiastic learning environment for individuals with moderate to complex needs, aged between 4-16 years. The successful candidate would be required to work from 8:30-15:30 with a competitive salary of £76.92-£95 per day

Responsibilities:
– Provide support to individuals with special educational needs in the classroom setting
– Assist in creating a safe and happy learning environment
– Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to meet the diverse needs of all learners
– Help break down barriers to learning and promote inclusivity

Requirements:
– Previous experience working with individuals with special educational needs is essential
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting learners with diverse needs

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
