Zest is currently seeking dedicated SEN learning support assistants to join a school in Aldridge, Walsall. This opportunity is available on both a full-time and part-time basis starting in November running through the end of the academic year. The school specializes in providing support to children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, communication challenges, complex needs, and behavioural difficulties.
The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
– Prior experience working as a SEND teaching assistant, with a focus on supporting ASC students
– A deep commitment to improving the well-being and educational outcomes of students with social, emotional, and mental health needs
– Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
– Demonstrated patience and flexibility in responding to the individual learning styles and preferences of each student
– A compassionate and nurturing approach to supporting students in their academic and personal growth

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
