Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a reputable special educational needs school located in Burntwood. This full-time role is set to commence November 2024 until the end of the academic year.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the class Teacher in delivering engaging lessons and providing essential assistance to students aged 4-16 with autism. Your responsibilities may involve working one-on-one with students or in small groups, highlighting the importance of adapting to individual learning needs with a flexible approach.
The ideal candidate for this position will have prior experience working with special educational needs (SEN) students, a compassionate nature, and a genuine interest in fostering a positive learning environment for all. Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
