Learning Support Assistant.

We’re recruiting for a full-time Learning Support Assistant role at a special educational needs school situated in Stafford. The position will be starting October 2022 and will continue into the new academic year.

The school itself caters for students from the age of five to thirteen with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). Although this position is to work in a school environment, we are open to receiving applications from TA’s, support workers and individuals that have worked with adults with special educational needs.

The is a busy SEND school who put the children at the heart of everything they do. The school provide an exciting, engaging, and challenging curriculum for all pupils and aim to provide a wonderful place for all children to learn.

The chosen candidate will be required to work across a range of age groups with a variety of learning needs on a general basis, however there may be times you are required to work on a 1:1 basis with specific pupils or smaller groups. Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they are keen to learn, have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, ability to work well in a team and enjoy working with small children. You need to be committed to providing the children with exceptional learning and support, in a fun and caring classroom environment and be willing to go that extra mile.

The role:

  • You have experience of supporting individuals with special educational needs
  • You are a patient individual and have a positive attitude towards the educational development of the students
  • You will need to be adaptable to work and support children of a variety of ages and learning difficulties
