Zest Education are seeking to recruit a passionate Learning Support Assistant for a special educational need’s college located in Birmingham. This college caters for students with moderate to severe learning difficulties. This is a full-time position commencing October 2022 and will be ongoing until the end of the academic year. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of either working in the care sector or with individuals with special educational needs (SEND).

This college provides a great variety of academic and employment focused courses. The college ensures all learners are able to develop their academic as well as their social skills, making new friends and enjoy being independent and responsible for their own decisions and actions.

The role will require you to quickly build engaging relationships with small groups of children, and you will need to work closely as a team with the class teacher and other teaching assistants.

The role:

  • You will be required to support the students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • You must be engaging, reliable and able to quickly build professional relationships
  • You must be passionate to engage, lead and inspire students
