Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? Zest Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and passionate individual to join a school located in Aston.
Position: Learning Support Assistant
Contract: Full-Time
Special Educational Needs: SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties) and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties)
Start Date: February
Age Group: 4-11 years
Responsibilities:
– Provide support and assistance to students with SLD and PMLD on a one-to-one or group basis.
– Help create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
– Support students with personal care needs.
– Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored educational activities.
– Monitor and record students’ progress and behaviour.
– Establish positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Requirements:
– Previous experience working with students with SLD or PMLD is essential.
– An understanding of the specific needs and challenges associated with SLD and PMLD.
– Ability to provide personal care assistance.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children with special educational needs.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
