Zest are recruiting exclusively for a primary special educational needs school in Cannock for a full time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team. This position is due to begin ASAP and will continue on a long term basis. There is potential of becoming a permanent position is the right candidate is found.
This school provides education for students from the age of 2-11 with Autism (ASC), moderate learning difficulties (MLD) and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). Although this position is to work in a school environment, we are open to receiving applications from TA’s, support workers and individuals that have worked with adults with SEND.
As a LSA you will be working with the students on a 1:1 basis where needed and in small groups of no more than five pupils, supporting with all areas of the curriculum.
The role:
- Must have previous experience supporting individuals with SEND
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and ability to build positive rapport with students
- Resilient and adaptable with their approach to ensure that children are supported appropriately and professional
