Zest Education are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work in a special educational needs (SEND) school located in Dudley. This is a part-time position, and you will be required to work 3 days a week. We have opportunities available for immediate starts.
The school itself caters for children aged 5-16 with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). Due to the needs of the children, we would ideally like to hear from people with previous experience within a SEND setting. This school is improving within academic and attainment levels and is continually looking to ensure their students develop into respectable and inspiring individuals.
You will be working alongside the teacher and working one-to-one with the children to ensure that they are getting the most out of what is being taught in the classroom.
The role:
- You have previous experience working within a special educational needs setting
- You will be working with children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- You are confident with managing challenging behaviours
