Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Do you have experience working in educational settings and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young learners? Our recruitment agency is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work with SEND children aged 4-18. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the academic and personal development of children with diverse needs, providing essential support within educational environments.
Responsibilities:
– Providing one-on-one support to students with SEND to facilitate their learning and development.
– Assisting in creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
– Supporting classroom teachers in adapting curriculum materials to suit the needs of individual students.
– Monitoring and documenting student progress and behaviors.
– Collaborating with other professionals, including educational psychologists and speech therapists, to address the needs of students.
Qualifications:
– Experience working with children or young adults with SEND.
– Knowledge of different learning styles and strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
