Learning Support Assistant (SEND)

Job Description

Learning support assistant in a SEND school needed in Coventry.

Part time, Wednesday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Immediate start to end of the academic year. Temporary position with the potential to become permanent.

Responsibilities:
– Providing one-on-one support to students with SEND to facilitate their learning and development.
– Assisting in creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
– Supporting classroom teachers in adapting curriculum materials to suit the needs of individual students.
– Monitoring and documenting student progress and behaviors.
– Collaborating with other professionals, including educational psychologists and speech therapists, to address the needs of students.

Qualifications:
– Experience working with children or young adults with SEND.
– Knowledge of different learning styles and strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
