– Location: Lichfield
– Start Date: ASAP until July 2025
– Position: Part-time (Monday-Wednesday, 8:30-15:30)
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant who can join a local SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) school based in Lichfield. The ideal candidate should have prior experience working with special educational needs and possess strong behavior management skills to support the needs of the children. While this role is primarily based in a school setting, we welcome applications from Teaching Assistants, support workers, and individuals with experience in supporting adults with special educational needs.
Requirements:
– Experience in Special Educational Needs: Providing personal and social support, including assistance with personal care, mobility, and medical needs to ensure students’ comfort, safety, and happiness.
– Engage in Interactive Learning: Creating a stimulating learning environment by engaging students in sensory play, music, art, and outdoor activities to make learning enjoyable.
– Effective Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both staff and students to facilitate a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
– The ability to adapt to the varying needs and challenges of each student.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
