Are you a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity in a special educational needs school? We have an exciting position available for a full-time teaching assistant at a well-established school located in Lichfield starting September 2024.
As a teaching assistant in this special educational needs school, you will be supporting students aged 4-18 with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). Your primary responsibility will be to assist the teacher in delivering child-cantered learning, promoting child development, and ensuring the safety of all pupils.
Working Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, you will have the opportunity to work both with small groups and individual pupils, fostering inclusion and maximizing their achievements. Additionally, you will lead whole class groups, delivering lesson plans prepared by the class teacher. Your dedication to promoting and supporting the inclusion of all pupils in learning activities will be crucial in creating a positive and supportive educational environment.
To be considered for this role, you must hold a Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification. Experience in supporting individuals with special educational needs or within a similar environment is highly desirable.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
