Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Immediate Start | Kings Heath Primary School

About the Role

We are seeking a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child who requires additional help to stay focused and engaged in the classroom in a KS1 class. Your role will be pivotal in supporting their learning journey and helping them thrive both academically and socially.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering tailored support to meet the child’s individual needs.
  • Assisting with classroom activities and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Managing behaviour consistently and effectively.
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SEN team to contribute to the child’s development.

Experience with Read Write Inc would be advantageous, but it is not essential.


What We’re Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
  • Previous experience working in a primary school setting.
  • A patient, approachable, and positive attitude.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with pupils and staff.
