Job Description

Zest Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a thriving primary school in Swadlincote. This is a full-time role supporting teaching and learning across the school, with a focus on working with small groups of pupils to ensure every child achieves their potential.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled TA with proven experience in supporting pupils in both classroom and small group settings. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality education, assisting teachers in creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and activities

  • Work with small groups or individual pupils to boost learning outcomes

  • Assist in planning and preparing learning resources

  • Promote positive behaviour and social development

  • Support pupils with additional learning needs, ensuring inclusion and engagement

  • Help maintain a safe, structured, and stimulating classroom environment

Candidate Requirements

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

  • Proven experience as a teaching assistant, particularly supporting small groups

  • Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills

  • Passionate about helping children succeed

  • Flexible, reliable, and a team player committed to inclusion and high standards
