Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Candidate Requirements:
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Experience working in a UK classroom setting
• Experience supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities 
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A proactive, patient and adaptable approach to supporting learning


Roles and Responsibilities:
• Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons across KS1
• Providing tailored support to pupils with SEND, helping them access learning and develop independence
• Working with small groups of children who require additional support 
• Leading small group interventions under the guidance of the teacher
• Monitoring pupil progress and feeding back observations to teaching staff
• Helping to maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
