Job Description

Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to work at a primary school in Tamworth.

This schools aim is to ensure that all children and staff are enabled to flourish as confident, happy and healthy citizens.  The school encourage it’s children and staff to grow and achieve academically, socially, spiritually, culturally, physically and mentally.

This is a full-time role that requires a Level 2 or above qualification in childcare and previous experience in supporting children on a one-to-one basis.

As a Learning Support Assistant, your main responsibility will be to work closely with a specific child, providing them with individualised support to enhance their learning experience. You will assist the child in overcoming any barriers they may face and ensure they receive the necessary guidance and encouragement to reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for working with children and a strong desire to make a positive impact on their education. You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the child’s education.

The primary school is committed to ensuring continuity and delivering a high standard of education to all its students. Therefore, the chosen candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining this commitment and providing ongoing support to the child. The position is available to start in September and will continue on an ongoing basis.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
