Maths Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education are working alongside a schools across the West Midlands, with one school in the Willenhall area, looking for a Maths teacher that teaches across KS3 – KS4. The position will start September 2023 and be for the whole academic year, with possible permanent role if the fit is right.

It is a large, busy and highly motivated school who expect the best for and from their students. Being part of a team is key to excelling here as the teachers work together and support one another. It is situated in a nice area and is accessible for both private and public transport.

Being passionate, reliable, creative as well as being well organised will help you succeed in this role. Also building and maintaining good relationships with the students is very important as can help with keeping them on track and getting them to be involved in the lessons.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for the subject of Maths and experience of teaching Maths across GCSE
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • To be able to plan and deliver high quality lessons
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
  • Be creative to make lessons enjoyable and accessible for all students

Rates of pay will vary dependant on experience.

Newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
