Zest are recruiting a Maths teacher on behalf of a school in Sutton Coldfield. If you are looking for a better work life balance and the ability to work closer to home, this role could be for you! Set to start in January 2024, this school are looking for a part time (.8) maths teacher for the initial period of one term with the likelihood of this being extended for the rest of the academic year.

The school seeks to engage students and staff by offering a range of opportunities and experiences that lead to high standards of achievement and key skills. This a large school with a growing reputation striving for success. The desire to work as part of a large team is essential as staff continually work together and support each other throughout the school year.

Exceptional maths subject knowledge is needed at KS3 and KS4 with some knowledge at KS5 also being desired.

The successful applicant will have:

  1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  2. A strong passion for the subject of Mathematics and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).

Rates of pay will vary dependant on experience.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.
