MFL Teacher – German

Job Description

Zest Education have been asked to help a secondary school in Wolverhampton to source a full time German speaking MFL Teacher. The role is for one term initially from September 2024, unless the school deem it necessary to extend the contract for a further term.

The school are ideally looking for a German Teacher that is passionate and creative in their ways of teaching a foreign language. The ability to also speak either French or Spanish is also desirable and would be advantageous to the candidates application. The desire to engage with students in a meaningful way as well as encouraging them to lean and be passionate about another language is key

The school was rated ‘good’ in their latest Ofsted inspection. The school aims to encourage their students to be ambitious, think of others and to achieve their dreams, their creative and dynamic learning programmes ensure all students are able to work towards achievable targets resulting in rising academic results across the board.

The successful applicant will have:

  1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  2. A strong passion for the subject of German and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  5. Strong classroom and behaviour management

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
