A high performing secondary school in the Staffordshire area are seeking a MFL teacher with a specialism in French and Spanish to join their team from January 2025.

The chosen candidate will be joining a school with a supportive Senior Leadership Team and an ethos that focuses on ensuring all students are prepared for the world outside of school. Ensuring all students are independent, understanding, and upstanding citizens.

Ideally, the candidate will have excellent subject knowledge up to KS 4 with knowledge at KS5 also being an advantage as French is a popular subject at A Level. The willingness to participate in any extracurricular activities or requirements that the wider department may require will be beneficial also.

The successful applicant will have:

  1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  2. A strong passion for the subject of MFL with a French specialism and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  5. Strong classroom and behaviour management

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
