MFL teacher

Job Description

Zest Education are looking to recruit a full time MFL teacher for a secondary school in the Telford area. This role is full time from February 2025, but part time (0.8) maybe be acceptable should the school decide the candidate is the right fit for the role.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is looking to be challenged to use a variety of different teaching methods and adapt to a dynamic curriculum to teach across KS3 and KS4. This role will involve teaching and guiding pupils who are brand new to a second language so abilities, attitudes and experiences will play a major part in adapting their learning journeys.

A successful candidate must have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • The desire to be apart of a team and work alongside the larger MFL department
  • Strong subject knowledge in Spanish and French with the ability to teach across KS3 and KS4
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • The ability to manage a classroom and the behaviour of the students

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
