Minibus Driver

Zest Education is looking to recruit a reliable and experienced Minibus Driver to support a local school by transporting pupils safely each day. The school requires someone who is confident driving a minibus and who also has experience working with SEN pupils.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people, is patient, and has a calm and supportive manner.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport pupils to and from school or between school sites

• Support pupils with SEN needs, ensuring they feel safe, calm, and reassured during journeys

• Follow all school transport procedures and safeguarding guidelines

• Carry out basic vehicle safety checks before each shift

• Ensure all passengers wear seatbelts and follow safety expectations

• Maintain a friendly, professional, and supportive environment

• Liaise with school staff regarding pupil needs or behaviour

 Ideal Candidate:

✅ Full UK driving licence (D1 entitlement preferred/required depending on school)
✅ Experience working with SEN pupils (ASD, SEMH, physical needs, or behavioural needs)
✅ Calm, patient, and reliable
✅ Understanding of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
✅ Ability to manage behaviour positively and professionally
✅ Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
