Zest Education are currently recruiting for multiple teaching assistants to work in special educational needs schools across Staffordshire (Rugeley, Lichfield, Cannock, Stoke-on-Trent, Tamworth) .

Offering flexible working we have part-time, full-time work in and around Birmingham required for an December 2024 start.

To be considered for these roles, it is essential to have prior experience in supporting individuals with special educational needs or a similar background in care or support work. This experience allows you to bring valuable insights and strategies to create an inclusive and supportive environment for the students you will be working with.

Passion for working with individuals with special educational needs is a fundamental aspect of being a successful learning support assistant. By approaching your role with enthusiasm and empathy, you can help build a strong rapport with the young people you work with, fostering trust and creating a safe space for them to learn and grow.

As a learning support assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with students on a one-on-one basis as well as in small groups. This allows for personalised attention and tailored support to address individual learning goals and challenges. It is crucial to have strong communication skills to effectively engage with students and quickly establish a connection with them.

In summary, learning support assistants play a vital role in special educational needs schools. Their experience and passion for working with individuals with special educational needs contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where students can thrive.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
