Music Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education are actively recruiting a Music teacher for a high performing Secondary school in the Staffordshire area. Do you have a passion for Music? Have you got experience working within a school setting?

The position is to commence in May 2024 for one half term and will be full time. However, this is likely to extend should the candidate be the right fit for the school.

Zest Education are looking to recruit a qualified Music teacher on behalf of a school in Cannock close to the town centre. The ability to work across all Key Stages is essential, with a desire to work alongside the music department with the running of recitals and practices during and after school. The schools main focus is on academic excellence, enabling pupils to succeed and thrive.

 The ideal candidate will have:
  • A PGCE or an equivalent UK teaching qualification having been awarded a QTS or QTLS
  • A great passion for teaching Music and quality subject knowledge across all secondary key stages.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • A creative mindset with the ability to adapt lessons as and when needed

Rate of pay is dependent on experience.

This role will be open to Early careers teachers (ECT) as well as experienced teachers.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
