Zest Education are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Music to join a lovely secondary school in the Sutton Coldfield area. This is a full-time role, and the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing music lessons to students of all abilities. The role is due to commence in September 2024 until December 2024 with a possibility of this role carrying on in January 2025.

– Create engaging lesson plans that cater to students’ diverse learning needs and abilities.
– Evaluate student progress through assessments and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
– Encourage students to explore various musical genres, instruments, and techniques to broaden their musical knowledge and skills.
– Organize and oversee music-related extracurricular activities to provide students with opportunities to showcase their talents and passion for music.
– Collaborate with fellow educators to exchange ideas and enhance teaching practices within the music department.
– Cultivate a safe and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued, respected, and motivated to participate in musical activities.

– Possession of a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
– Demonstrated experience in teaching Music at the secondary level, showcasing a strong understanding and passion for music education.
– Proficiency in music theory, practical skills, and the ability to engage students of varying abilities.
– Excellent communication skills to effectively convey musical concepts and inspire students’ interest in music.
– Organizational skills to efficiently plan lessons and manage classroom activities.
– Innovative teaching approach utilizing diverse methods and resources to make learning music enjoyable and impactful.
