Job Description

A reputable secondary school and sixth form in Derby is seeking a dedicated Music teacher to join their Arts department full-time in April 2025. You will have the chance to make a real difference in students’ lives by nurturing their creativity and fostering their love for music.

Key Responsibilities:
– Plan and deliver engaging music lessons that inspire and motivate students
– Assess student work and monitor progress effectively
– Stay updated on the latest developments and teaching methods in the field of Music education
– Demonstrate strong behavior management skills and build positive relationships with students and colleagues

Requirements:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Music (ECT’s are encouraged to apply)
– Excellent knowledge of Music curriculum in Key Stages 3 and 4
– Proficient in behavior and classroom management
– Positive school reference from your previous employer/placement
