Teacher of Music

Job Description

Zest Education are currently looking to recruit a part time (0.6) Music Teacher for a local, well performing Staffordshire Secondary school. This role is set to start October 2024 for a minimum of one half term with days being flexible to suit the right candidate.

This school has an ethos that nurtures individuality and creativity in students allowing for there to be many creative and practical lessons supported by excellent academic resources. The ability to work across all Key Stages is essential, with a desire to work alongside the music department with the running of recitals and practices during and after school.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • A PGCE or an equivalent UK teaching qualification having been awarded a QTS or QTLS
  • A great passion for teaching Music and quality subject knowledge across all secondary key stages.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • A creative mindset with the ability to adapt lessons as and when needed

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
