Are you passionate about Music, education and working with children? Do you have recent school-based experience?

Zest Education have been asked to find a Music Teacher that can teach across KS3- KS4, in a large secondary school in South Birmingham, close to Kings Norton. The position will be full time and will start in October 2022, this will be for a minimum of one term, but for the right candidate this is likely to be extended.

The school caters for a broad range of students including a high number of EAL students, the main ethos of the school is to encourage excellent behaviour, committed learning and offer necessary skills to all their students, so they can flourish in the future.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for the subject of Music and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 would be ideal but isn’t a necessity)
  • A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
  • Be adaptable, creative, and innovative with lesson planning

Rates of pay vary dependant on experience.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
