Zest are partnering with a welcoming private day nursery who are looking for a nursery assistant to work a maternity cover in Tamworth.
Zest Education are partnering with a welcoming private day nursery that provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for children from babies to pre-school. They are centered around fostering the development, well-being, and happiness of every child, while creating a supportive and teamworking environment for it’s staff members.
The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Nursery Practitioner to join us here at Zest to support on a maternity cover basis at our partnered nursery, starting as soon as possible on a day to day basis. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality care and education to the nurseries children, working alongside their experienced team to ensure that each child receives the best possible start in life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS curriculum.
• Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and positive environment for the children.
• Build strong relationships with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child’s progress.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
• Adhere to all nursery policies and safeguarding guidelines.
• Supporting with toileting is essential in this setting
About You:
• A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent).
• Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
• A passion for working with children and a commitment to their development.
• Strong communication skills and a caring, approachable nature.
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
