Job Description

Zest Education is recruiting a part‑time Early Years Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming primary school in Burntwood. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood development and looking for consistent afternoon hours during the school week.

The role begins in September 2026 and is ideal for a nurturing, enthusiastic and reliable individual who enjoys working with young children in a supportive school environment.

About the Role

You will work closely with the Early Years team to support children’s learning, development and wellbeing. The role involves assisting with classroom activities, supporting small groups, and helping create a positive, engaging learning environment for pupils in the EYFS.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday
  • 12:30pm – 3:30pm
  • Term‑time only
  • Start date: September 2026

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting Early Years pupils with learning and play‑based activities
  • Assisting the class teacher with daily routines and classroom organisation
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment
  • Providing pastoral support and encouraging positive behaviour
  • Working with small groups or individual pupils as needed

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
