Part-Time Early Years Teacher – Maternity Cover (Stafford)

Job Description

Zest Education is proud to be working in partnership with a warm and welcoming primary school in Stafford to recruit a passionate and dedicated Early Years Teacher. This is a part-time maternity cover position starting in September 2025, running through to the end of the academic year in July 2026.

Start Date: September 2025

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Early Years practitioner to join a supportive team in a school that values creativity, child-led learning, and high-quality early years provision. You will be working 3 days per week in a well-resourced and nurturing Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons in line with EYFS curriculum

  • Creating a stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and development

  • Assessing and monitoring pupil progress

  • Collaborating effectively with colleagues, support staff, and parents

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

  • Has recent experience teaching in Early Years

  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of the EYFS framework

  • Is enthusiastic, nurturing, and committed to supporting young learners

  • Can work effectively as part of a team
